How does it work?

Rules and regulations that govern whether you can build a Dual Occupancy vary from Council to Council, and subsequently zone to zone within a City or Region. Just because you can gain approval for a Dual Occupancy in the Low-Density areas of Logan, doesn’t necessarily mean you can gain approval for them in the Low-Density areas of the Gold Coast.

We have been informed of various occurrences where a Council officer has incorrectly informed a client that a Dual Occupancy can or cannot be established at a property. It is essential for any development project, whether its your first project, or your hundredth to check with a local town planner to ensure you comply with the rules and regulations of your local Council.
