Stephen is the director of Align Planning and is an experienced planning professional with over 10 years experience within the private sector in Queensland and New South Wales.
Stephen was raised in the small city of Tauranga, New Zealand. He graduated with a Bachelor of Resource and Environmental Planning (with honours) from Massey University. After completing his studies in 2012, Stephen crossed the ditch to settle in the Gold Coast, which he has lived ever since.
Julie is a senior town planner that has been involved in planning for more than 25 years. While her experience has been focused primarily on south-east Queensland she has also worked within a range of areas across New South Wales and Victoria.
Having been a Gold Coast local for 30 years she has been involved in the considerable growth of the coast during this time. Julie has played an active part in a range of developments from large residential estates, to secondary dwellings and commercial developments. Her experience within the development industry has given her an intricate knowledge and understanding of the development approval process.’
Prior to Align, Stephen was a Director for over 5 years at one of the most trusted planning consultancies in Queensland, which has meant he has established strong relationships with local Councils to aide in achieving the best possible result for your development project.
Outside of Align Planning, Stephen enjoys spending time with his family, with much of his spare time spent visiting playgrounds and parks with his young daughter and wife. A keen sportsman, Stephen enjoys a variety of sports such as rugby, cricket, basketball.
Stephen is passionate about planning has built a reputation within the industry of going above and beyond for his clients. He is experienced in the; management, preparation and assessment of all types and scale of development projects. He is an excellent communicator, who is able to coordinate and manage professionals across a range of different disciplines to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
